TOO BAD. WALUIGI TIME

We Came, We Saw, WAA Conquered!

"WAAA HA HA HA HAA! SOON, WALUIGI WILL BE IN LIVING ROOMS ACROSS THE WORLD, CHARMING EVERYONE WITH HIS NEW ADVENTURES AND HIGH ART! WALUIGI LIKES THIS."

That's a wrap, folks! Due partly to the viral (in every sense of the word) nature of Waluigi's singing, the Kickstarter shot through the stratosphere in the last couple days to reach over $90,000!

As with my past Kickstarter projects, I'd like to thank all of you for supporting me to the point where you're willing to fund these crazy ideas I have. And my promise to you is that I will do my all to make sure this book is a high-quality work; detailed and polished from cover to cover, despite the general strangeness of its subject matter. With all Stretch Goals now hit, it should be a fairly thorough tome of all things Waluigi, too!

While the book won't be in brick-and-mortar stores, we will be selling "TOO BAD. WALUIGI TIME" on brawlinthefamily.com when it releases next year! While supplies last, at any rate, but there'll be a few hundred extra.

Timepiece 4, 5 and 6 Cleared! Another Song, More BitF!

As time runs out, Waluigi Time seems to only get stronger, as evidenced by our blazing through the most recent couple of Stretch Goals!

First up, the Back in the Family comics have been given a boost--TOO BAD. WALUIGI TIME will now have an extra-large chapter of BitF, featuring a hefty 30 new, blue comics total!

And secondly, while you've already heard the first of the bonus songs in the most recent update, prepare your ears for the next one! I intend to release it when there's...one day more remaining in the Kickstarter. Another day, another destiny.

It's the final hours, folks! Let's see how far we can take this violet villain!

Surprise! New Rewards Every $5k!

Here we are in the final week of the campaign! Since we are starting to run low on Waluigi Time, now is when things get kicked into overdrove. Behold--the final stretch goal list!

What's essentially going on here is that new Waluigi songs have been added. These would be recorded in the style of the Wallelujah Chorus song and put up on YouTube (and as MP3s) for all to enjoy. Up to three new ones coming, including one right around the corner!

I also want to point out that the prior stretch goals--more BitF comics in the book at 60k, and Waluigi-fied Smash cast at 75k--are in the same spots they've always been. But now there are incremental bonuses on the way there! Every $5,000 from 55k to 75k contains another reward for all to enjoy!

So if you know anyone who needs more glorious four-part Waluigi harmony in their earholes (who doesn't?), let's get these last goals knocked out! After all, the final days of a Kickstarter are historically among its most lucrative.

And of course, those of you who don't want to purchase a book through KS can always go through PayPal. These orders will also contribute to the goal amounts.

One Last Plea to Our International Shippers

Today's not one of our more fun updates, but it's an important one to the project! I mentioned this briefly before, but I think it bears repeating:

Due to a miscalculation in estimating international shipping costs, the pledge amounts for orders outside of the US are significantly lower than what they actually cost. To help counter this, we are asking our international supporters to contribute an additional amount to make up for the gap in shipping costs.

The real international shipping costs for a single book (the package of which will weigh about 3 pounds) are approximately $45 (depending on final destination). The amount asked for on our Kickstarter tiers is only $15.

I wish there was a way to reduce this expense, but the prices are what they are--we aren't making any money on shipping, I can guarantee you that! Based on the sheer number of international orders so far, this miscalculation means that this project could lose more than $6000 from its budget unless our supporters can help cover the cost.

I humbly ask my international supporters (or any philanthropic domestic supporters) to donate what they can to help cover these shipping costs. The approximate shortfall per international order is $30, but any amount would be extremely appreciated. I understand if this doesn't fit into your budget, and will still send out all orders at the normal pledged price, but covering the full cost would again be greatly appreciated.

And yes, all shipping costs automatically get added to the KS's overall funds and contribute to further stretch goals!
